Yesterday Dane's tutorial class had their final performance of the year. As a class they created a set list, figured out music, stage design, transitions, clothing, and everything else that goes into a wonderful performance. Their performance was full of really fun songs and high energy. People back at home, you would have been so proud of Dane.
Set List:
Radioactive by Kings of Leon
Something in the Water by Brooke Fraser
Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder
A Message by Coldplay
Get Rhythm by Johnny Cash
Super Duper Love by Josh Stone
Skinny Love by Bon Iver
Miracle by Sarah Groves
C'est La Mort by Civil Wars
Punk Rocker by Sandi Thom
That's What You Get by Paramore
Some Fun Memories from the Performance:
* Our good friend Lucas gave the crowd a preshow by dancing on stage to the pre-roll. Dance moves included the worm, the strut, and many others.
* While Dane was playing bass on one of the songs, the strap fell off. Dane didn't miss a beat, and took a knee to keep playing.
* The group set up floor toms in the middle of the audience for skinny love. It was hot!
* Dane got to play a telecaster because there were some technical difficulties with the Gretsch and the Les Paul. Kevin, he got to play your guitar one last time!
Dane, you are my guitar/piano/bass/floor tom hero! I love you and am so proud of all the hard work you put in to this performance.
love,
The Kids Down Under
