Halloween Down Under

11.05.2012

Our dear friends threw a Halloween party for us Americans and Sweedes.  We were told that Australia doesn't really do the whole Halloween scene, but yes, we did have trick-or-treaters at our house, and no we didn't have candy, so we used what we had, which included frozen yogurt.

The party was so much fun and the girls did a GREAT job with the food & drink making it very festive!  We also had pumpkin bowling (I am so much better at this than real bowling), pumpkin carving, a birthday cake, and the singing of God Bless the USA (just don't even ask).  Dane won the costume contest dressed as Albert Einstein, Mark, the redneck coming in at a close second.

We are so thankful for the friends we have made here.  Truly lifelong friends!

Now go eat some candy corn for us, because sadly, that hasn't caught on here!

Hugs!
